After being the Taiwan National Martial Arts and Nunchaku Champ in 1982, he then represented the Taiwan Government in presenting Kung Fu and double-hand Nunchakus at the Ronald Reagan Government’s event, which was held in Washington DC in 1983. In November of the same year, after he had received the Taiwan Presidential recognition, he immigrated to America; won the World-Cup Middle Weight Champ title in 1987; and got cast to play a principal role "Dangwo" in Rage of Vengeance, an HBO action feature film, without using any body double in 1993. That was his very first time acting in an American feature film. Then, he was blessed to keep moving forward with his film career (as an actor, a musician, a fight choreographer, a VO artist, and a certified stunt performer and a coordinator) for the next 20-some years.

Martial Arts Background

He started Martial Arts training at the age of 5 in different styles of Kung Fu, then Judo, Karate, Tang Soo Do and boxing under several masters in his hometown (Tainan City, Taiwan), only for one single reason: to defend himself from local bullies. Later, he was taught by Dan Lee (Bruce Lee's close disciple in JKD), Steven Chang (Yip Man & Lieon Shon's Wing Chun), Delon Tan (Tae Kwon Do), John Wong (Wu's Tai Chi), and Franco Lung (Yip Man & Wong Tsun-Leon's Wing Chun) in America.
